KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Sophomore goaltender Hampton Slukynsky was named to the Mike Richter Award Watch List this afternoon by the Hockey Commissioners Association.
The award is given annually to the top goalie in Division I. Slukynsky has been on the watch list each of the last two seasons. He is joined on the list by 28 other goalies, including five from the NCHC.
The Warroad, Minn. native has been red hot over the last few weeks, helping the Broncos win seven games in a row and 11 of their last 12. During the current seven-game win streak, Slukynsky has produced a 1.
