Good morning, Coug fans! After a less than ideal first game against No. 24 Stanford (3-18) our Washington State Cougars return today in the hopes of a better outcome.
The key takeaway from yesterday’s game was Stanford’s Brendan Beck- who collected 7 hits and 7 strikeouts across 8 innings.
Our own Kyle Manzardo had an uncharacteristically difficult game, going 0-4 on hits. Ideally this becomes a motivator for today! Collin Montez was able to hold on with a two run homer, which was great!
Stanford’s batting leader is Vincent Martinez, who averages .417, and leads the team in doubles (most scored was 3 in one game, yesterday against us).
