The edges of the Toronto Blue Jays roster continues to evolve and the Washington Nationals may be thanking Toronto later on this year after their latest move. With Kazuma Okamoto joining the Blue Jays, the club had to make room on their 40-man roster to add him.
That move resulted in right-handed pitcher Paxton Schultz being designated for assignment earlier this week and it didn't take long for the 28-year-old to find a new home.
