FCS defensive player of the year Andrew Zock commits to Toledo

FCS defensive player of the year Andrew Zock announced his commitment to Toledo on social media Tuesday.

The former unranked recruit from Mercer had a breakout 2025 season, recording 46 tackles (24 solo), 20 tackles for loss, 11.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and 23 quarterback hurries

After entering the transfer portal, Zock received offers from Colorado, Virginia, North Texas, Tulane, and several other schools, but decided to follow former head coach Mike Jacobs to Toledo.

He will join Mercer teammates Adjatay Dabbs, Julian Fox, Kaleb Hutchinson, Trenton Jones, C.J. Miller, and Isaac Prince, who have all already committed to the Rockets.
