It feels like Jordan Kyrou's name has come up in trade rumors since the day he signed his eight-year, $8.125-million annual average value (AAV) contract extension with the St. Louis Blues back in 2022. It's a doozy of a contract, with full trade protections until its final year, nearly identical to the one signed by Robert Thomas a few months earlier. Ever since signing, Kyrou's name keeps coming up as a potential trade candidate.
As we approach the Olympic break and subsequent trade deadline, those trade rumors keep coming up--and in the latest version of The Athletic's trade board, Kyrou came in last on the list at number 35.
