Less than a week after their season ended, it’s safe to say the Pittsburgh Steelers already have some decisions to make this offseason. While a new head coach and a quarterback are the two main ones, they’ve also got a situation to figure out with Joey Porter Jr.
The cornerback had a tremendous third season, building on the promise he showed in his first two. However, 2026 represents the final year of Porter’s rookie contract. If he’s going to get a big contract extension with the Steelers, it would happen this offseason. That’s something former NFL cornerback Richard Sherman thinks the Steelers need to take care of immediately.
