Mike Tomlin stepped down as the Pittsburgh Steelers’ head coach on Tuesday. The franchise now has a big decision on its hands, but many are already speculating about Tomlin’s own future. Since he wasn’t fired and the Steelers still hold his rights, it’s something that’s piqued the interest of some Steelers fans as well.
There’s been speculation that Tomlin will go into television, but that’s far from a slam dunk. While it doesn’t seem like Tomlin will coach in 2026, some view 2027 as a cycle he could try to step into. But ESPN’s Adam Schefter sounds a little less certain Mike Tomlin will return to coaching, at all.
