The penalties have been, no question, a major problem in the two Eagles losses this season. Missed tackles and blown assignments have hurt the defense. A lack of explosive plays down the field in the passing game has hampered the offense. But to start to fix the problems and get back to winning, the Eagles must seize the line of scrimmage.
It all stars there, and while it isn’t the sexiest conversation and it certainly isn’t the easiest to fix, the reality is that the Eagles lost at Washington because they lost first at the snap of the ball, and the problems magnified from there.
