No. 2 Penn State travels to West Point open for first tournament of the season

No. 2 Penn State travels to West Point, New York, to compete in the 2026 West Point Open. The two-day event begins this Friday. The Nittany Lions opened this season with a win over Army, 311.300-297.600, at Rec Hall.

This event features competitors from levels 3 to 10 events and includes athletes from Penn State, Simpson, Navy, Springfield College, Army and William & Mary. The first day consists of NCAA-level team competition, while the second day will host individual event finals for the top qualifiers from Friday’s competition.

Last season at the West Point Open, Penn State finished second behind Ohio State, which will not return to the competition this year, with a team score of 237.
