After a bizarre degree of Transfer Portal quiet, Notre Dame is finally starting to heat up. Quincy Porter's commitment on Monday morning is the second portal win of the day and is a big one for the Fighting Irish's plans for its wide receiver corps in 2026 and beyond.

Porter, a former 5-star prospect who landed with the Ohio State Buckeyes out of high school, is a high-potential player who has a chance to show off his abilities more in South Bend.

As Saturday Blitz's Nicholas Rome pointed out, the addition of Porter to the Notre Dame roster, "can fill the void on the outside left by Malachi Fields graduating to the NFL, and hopefully become a top target for CJ Carr.
