The UNC football program secures a commitment from a former SEC tight end

From Texas to Chapel Hill: Jordan Washington has committed to play for Bill Belichick and the UNC football program.

A six-foot-six, 265-pounder from Houston, Texas, Washington will have three seasons of eligibility to work with.

Washington played two seasons in Austin for the Texas Longhorns. During the 2025 season, he appeared in 12 games with two starts, finishing with seven catches for 109 yards and a touchdown.

Before the start of the 2025 season, Texas tight ends coach Jeff Banks spoke about his high expectations for Washington:

“He brings that every-down tight end,” Banks said last week.
