Nebraska adds experienced Big Ten receiver as portal momentum builds

After a relatively slow start for the Nebraska football program in the transfer portal, things are heating up. The latest sign of a Huskers program willing to spend top dollar for some of the best targets out there is the commitment of Kwazi Gilmer.

Gilmer, a wide receiver who spent the last two seasons at UCLA, announced on Friday afternoon that he was heading to Lincoln. The wideout finished the 2025 season with 50 catches for 535 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Gilmer's numbers are especially impressive when considering the newest addition to Nebraska was toiling away in a Bruins offense that was amongst the worst in the country before head coach DeShaun Foster was fired.
