An arrest warrant has been issued for WBA lightweight champion Gervonta Davis in connection with an alleged domestic violence incident that reportedly occurred in October, according to Miami Gardens police.
Authorities confirmed Wednesday that the warrant includes charges of false imprisonment, battery, and attempted kidnapping. The Miami Gardens Police Department (MGPD) said it is actively working with the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force to locate and apprehend Davis.
“At this time, the Miami Gardens Police Department is actively working with the United States Marshal’s fugitive task force to locate and apprehend Mr. Davis,” MGPD executive officer Emmanuel Jeanty said during a news conference.
