It is hard to say that a position group got better after losing a star player, but the Iowa secondary may have done just that.
In a strange transfer portal twist, junior captain and rising star Koen Entringer entered the portal and ultimately signed with Louisville.
After clearly stating he would return next season, Entringer did a complete 180 and ended up in Kentucky.
Entringer's absence left a void in the Iowa secondary, but it also created a unique opportunity for the program to add depth.
Through the first nine days of the transfer portal, the Hawkeyes shored up the secondary by adding transfers Anthony Hawkins (Villanova) and Tyler Brown (James Madison), and have now gotten even stronger with the latest portal signing.
