Iowa prepares players for the NFL, end of discussion.
Fans and media personalities get enamored with five-star recruits who light up college football, and rightly so, but something has to be said about the way the Iowa program has consistently produced NFL-ready talent.
In 27 years at the helm of the Hawkeyes, Kirk Ferentz has sent 94 players to the NFL, and the program currently has 28 active players on NFL rosters, one of the highest numbers among Power Four programs.
Of those 28 active players, two were recently named to NFL First-Team All-Pro selections.
