Samson Ebukam is capable of greatness, but the Indianapolis Colts can never be sure when the greatness might come. Through much of the 2023 season, the edge rusher appealed to be a free agent gem, but then injuries began to set in.
After having 9.5 sacks and 48 total quarterback pressures, while playing elite run defense, in 2023, Ebukam missed all of 2024 after tearing an Achilles tendon in training camp. He returned healthy this season, but he missed three games with a sprained MCL. Part of the problem is that an aging player does not tend to be a healthier player.
