Florida State finished 5-7 at the conclusion of the 2025 season. Let that sink in. This is a Seminole program that has won three national championships in the past 35 years. That should never be the standard of Florida State, a place that Bobby Bowden built.
However, there were quality players on the roster from a year ago that Florida State could not afford to lose. The defensive line and linebackers took a major hit this offseason, with players entering the transfer portal or simply not having the skill set needed to play in Tallahassee.
Either way, players transfer out all the time in college football nowadays, and it is becoming the new norm with them renegotiating contracts.
