Texas Stars Snap Grand Rapids Griffins 19-Game Point Streak and Shutout the League Leaders 2-0

The Texas Stars entered their two-game stint against the Grand Rapids Griffins knowing they couldn’t settle for anything less than valuable points in the standings. After a tremendous effort that came up short on Wednesday, they refused to take any “moral victories.”

On Friday night at Van Andel Arena, the Stars turned in their most complete performance of the season and earned their biggest win of the year when they shut out the league-leading Griffins 2-0.

The Griffins (29-2-1) had their historic 19-game points streak snapped and were shut out for the first time all season thanks to 29 saves from Remi Poirier.
