Former Clemson Staffer Lands at New School

Former Clemson staffer Mickey Conn did not stay unemployed long.

The longtime safeties coach with the Tigers has confirmed he is now the new defensive coordinator for Jon Grass at Samford. Grass left Clemson last month to take over as head coach of the Bulldogs.

The Clemson Insider reported almost a month ago that Conn was heading to Samford with Grass, who has already taken several of the Tigers’ support staff with him, including Paul Tyson, Drew Swinney, Andrew Zow and Brandon Thomas.

However, due to financial considerations, it was beneficial for Conn to wait until after he was dismissed to take a new job.
