Fans throughout Reds Country are well aware that their favorite team has no chance to sign a big-name free agent like Cody Bellinger. But if he rejoins the New York Yankees, the Cincinnati Reds could benefit from the aftermath.
According to most baseball insiders, while there's a lot of posturing going on at the moment, the Yankees are expected to re-sign Bellinger at some point this offseason. The Bronx Bombers haven't been linked Kyle Tucker, nor do they seem like a logical fit for Bo Bichette, and can't afford to strike out on all three.
The hangup seem to be the number of years attached to any contract offer.
