After easing away from UC Riverside on Friday, the Bears are back at Haas to continue their tour of mid-major California opponents. The Roadrunners have a close win over Hawaii and losses to Southern Utah and Oregon, the latter by 15 points on the road.
CSUB was a middle-of-the-road WAC team last year, but went just 3-12 against non-conference opposition. They will have to replace their leading scorer and rebounder from last year’s team, forward Batabe Zempare, who averaged nearly a double double and led the team in field goal percentage.
