BOWLING GREEN — The BGSU men’s basketball team hosted undefeated Miami (Ohio) in a meeting between two of the Mid-American Conference’s fastest-starting teams this season.
In a high-scoring contest, Miami (14-0, 2-0 MAC) finished 30-for-55 (54.5 percent) from the floor compared to Bowling Green's 31-for-63 (49.2 percent), and the Falcons’ rally fell short, losing 93-83 after trailing by as many as 29.
Free throws played a big factor as well, with the RedHawks going 22-for-24 (91.7 percent) compared to 16-for-23 (69.6 percent) for the 10-4 Falcons (1-1 MAC).
“Frustrating game. Obviously, we got into foul trouble early and it kind of took us out of our rhythm,” BGSU head coach Todd Simon said.
